"Worthy is the Lamb that was slain to receive power and riches and wisdom and might and honor and glory and blessing."

Revelation 5:12

Little River Church is an independent body with members from many different church backgrounds. While we enjoy the diversity of our rich Spiritual heritage, we are unified in our unwavering commitment to the Word of God.

We believe that God's word prescribes a plurality of elders as the governing body of the local church.

The elders of Little River Church have adopted the following credal statements as reflecting acceptable parameters of diversity within orthodoxy for our teaching and preaching of the Word of God:

  • The Apostles' Creed (modified)
  • Nicean Creed
  • Definition of Chalcedon
  • Westminster Confession of Faith
  • The Gospel of Jesus Christ: An Evangelical Celebration
  • The New Hampshire Baptist Confession of 1833
  • Chicago Statement on Biblical Inerracy
  • Lausanne Covenant

We expect all to strive for the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace.

Our Ministry Philosphy is:

  • The purpose of our gathering is to seek to encourage each other to attain to the whole measure of the fullness of Christ, toward the end that God is glorified.
  • Contribution instead of consumerism will be observed when we genuinely expect that "every member will be a minister" in the user of their God given gifts and talents to serve others.
  • In all that we do:
    • we will strive to be people of prayer.
    • we will strive to be people of the Word.
    • we will strive to be people serious about evangelism and world mission.
    • we will strive to build our sense of Christian community.
