"They devoted themselves to the apostles' teaching and to the fellowship, to the breaking of bread and to prayer."

Acts 2:42

Little River Church was started in 1985 by believers in the Union Hill community who were traveling to various churches in the outlying area to worship. Because of our desire for a community church, our focus on supporting and encouraging other members has become a hallmark of our fellowship.

At Little River Church, we promote family unity in worship on Sundays. We believe that children learn from participating with their parents and watching as their parents model for them how they praise and worship the Lord. (A nursery is available for children three and under and nursing moms.) An integral part of our Sunday worship is the informal prayer time that follows the service. Here all are given the opportunity to share prayer requests and praises, and to report on relevant issues in our lives and in the community.

As an elder-led congregation, we depend on our elders for teaching and pastoring our church body. Our mission is to equip each believer to change the world for Christ. We believe each member has specific God-given gifts and talents, and encourage all to participate in the ministry within the body and in missions to the world.

Our children and teens teaching is done on Wednesday nights. Many of our teens and young adults have an opportunity to strengthen their leadership and ministry skills by helping with the younger children during craft and game time. By establishing these Titus 2 mentoring relationships, the faith and fellowship of both age groups is strengthened. For teaching, however, the age groups are taught separately by adults using age-appropriate, practical Bible study.

We encourage you to join our family as we seek to glorify God together!
